Cookie policy

Summary

Reading this guide, opening race pages and loading evidence cards do not use cookies or browser storage. The only storage on this site belongs to the cookie banner, which remembers your choice.

Cookies and browser storage

probo_consent

A first-party cookie written by the cookie banner. It remembers the banner version, your choice and categories, and a random visitor identifier, for the period set in the published banner.

probo_consent:…:vid

Local storage holding the random identifier used to retrieve and update the same choice. It stays until you clear site data.

probo_consent:…:queue

Local storage used only when a choice or report cannot reach the banner service. Delivered entries are removed; undelivered entries are discarded after no more than 30 days.

Optional categories

This site uses no analytics, advertising or social-media cookies. If optional technology is ever added, it will appear in the cookie banner under its own category and be listed here before it is used, and it will load only if you accept it.

Other services

Evidence cards from After Citizens United run no scripts and set no cookies. Fonts are served from this site. Cloudflare hosts the pages and, as currently configured, sets no cookies here. The banner script comes from jsDelivr and talks to the project’s Probo service at probo.asktq.org. The privacy policy explains what it receives.
